The first one is done and the second will be in a day or so. With just one in the room it is pretty sweet. I think I goofed on using the LFE input on the SA-1 because I was getting some over extension a few times on certain soundtracks. I assume that using the LFE on this amp completely bypasses the high pass protection circuit of 20Hz as well as the low pass adjustable crossover.

Sound quality is great for a $200 plus lumber sub. My stage is as acoustically dead as I could ask for and the single sub is clean, tight and robust in output. With the 2nd one in place it will just be that much sweeter. I'll take some pics and post em.

Here is a pic of the 2 finished subs on the stage. Still a long ways to go on this room but the subs turned out great and they are more than I was hoping for. It's always nice when they exceed your expectations.  :D

FYI- There is a plus and minus to having a theater room on the second floor of your home. With a wood subfloor the tactile response is crazy good and there is no need in the world for bass shakers. The minus is my daughter and son asked me if there was a mild earthquake the night I fired them both up at reference level volume. I imagine this will be slightly better when room treatments and carpet go in. Either way you truly feel like your in the movie now. Bass adds sooooo much dimension to a soundtrack.

Someone sent me an email asking if I had enclosure plans for the boxes I built. I will answer here. I do not have plans I just made the box have an internal dimension of 16x19x21 (I think that's what it was). The total volume was 3.7 cu ft not including the braces and the sub and amp. Comes out to right about 3cu ft. sealed.
