Torus Power- new to brand- had a few questions.
« on: 11 Apr 2011, 01:05 am »
Looking  at  getting  a  Torus,  had   a  few questions.

what is  the performance difference, between   "RM15"   and  "CS15 AVR"    (performance wise)

and can it   be order  online  from  "AudioAdvisor"

USA   retail   price  for each...

with  the Torus PC,  should   my  sources   pre/amp/blu ray and etc...  Run  dead  silent       No  background noise.   at idle  or running

sorry  for all   questions,   very new to product.

current  setup:  BP26-4BSST2-BDA1- BR PLAYER- SAT BX- TV

have  separate outlets  for  amp  and pre

rest  of  stuff   connected to  a  panamx 5300

AC  is   a  awesome  forum

Cheers,
Dan

Hi Dan

The RM is Rackmount and the CS is consumer 17 inch faceplate.

Audio advisors sells the Bryston BIT units now which replaced the Torus units. The Bryston BIT has a faceplate to match the Bryston gear and is the same internally as the Torus.

The unit is called the BIT15.

Hi James,

thanks,  and looks great....

had  a  question, about  the Bit 15,  when all   my gear  is  connected (BP26/4Bsst2/BDA etc...)

when all   the gear  is  connected,    should  all  the sources be dead silent, and even at idle..

No  hum or  hissing   thru speakers.

does the BIT 15,    cancels all  background  noise,   of any kind.

want to make sure before  ordering...

new  to  the Bit 15 / torus power

Cheers,
Danny

Hi Danny,

The Torus eliminates noise at the input to your gear, not the output.  So noise through your speakers would be noise from your components.
