Correction!
It has to be affordable and brand new, too, with no setting up.

If you want something of high quality, unless you are willing to spend over $1,000, OK, maybe $999 for something brand new, or buy something used with the risk of it may come to you with the plinth in many pieces.

   Alright, we all get it, you are a self-styled vinyl expert. We are all really impressed, even those of us who have been doing this for forty+ years.

Thank you for the kind comment.  But just because you don't like my comments, it doesn't mean that they are not constructive nor positive. I didn't set the rules of "affordable, high quality, and no setting up."

I don't dare to claim that I am an expert on vinyl, but if you insist, I'll take it, thank you.

One more thing, over the years I've learned that if someone tells you "they have been doing this for years...." watch out.

Wayner--I, for one, appreciate what you're doing.  I am your target audience.  Secretly, I am vinyl-curious...  But I've never taken the plunge because of: ignorance, the start-up costs and the lack-of-perceived benefit.  So I like what you're doing... and in the meantime, I'll stick w/ digital
