My first hi-end integrated amp was a Heathkit I built in my teens.
10 years earlier summer vacations out West were in my Dad's Hudson Wasp. 100 degrees, no A/C, and my brother and I tormenting each other in the back seat, it didn't get any better than that; though it did drive my parents crazy. The Hudson was so big that my Dad could never reach us while driving, though it never stopped him from trying. I loved the big concrete dinosaurs in Rapid City, South Dakota.

When we finally did get a TV my brother and I watched
Winky Dink and You though I don't think my parent's ever bought the "magic drawing screen", we were too poor.
