Goodwin wanted dark brown SoundScape speakers and wasn't too concerned about the actual veneer we used.  With a blank slate like that, what were we to do?  Time to do something we've wanted to do for a long time.

We veneered the cabinets in a nice quilted maple.  We then used a special dye process that involved dyeing the cabinets twice.  The result is deeper, richer color than would be possible with a single dye application.  It's not exactly a "secret" process in that it has been used on electric guitars for years. But we've never done it before and I think it turned out really nice for our first shot at it.

Here are some pictures...

And a close-up...

And an even closer shot...

Happy listening Goodwin!

Nice looking pair.  It is great to see so many of them roll out!  I am looking forward to your impressions Goodwin.  Don’t forget to take a picture of the delivery truck.

Very nice Jim.
That process is very time consuming and not everyone can pull it off. I am a big fan of Quilted Maple done right :thumb:
