It has been my understanding that the Ripper power supply circuit is identical to the Bugle Power Supply. Can someone confirm this?
No, they are different.
Does Bugle PS have different intended / possible configurations for use with Bugle? Ripper? Piccolo? Combinations thereof?
I know from the forum that the Bugle PS is suitable for Bugle and Piccolo. Ripper? It is selfcontainig device with inside PS.
... the Ripper seems to produce 10 volts, while the Bugle PS ... 15v. TE70023 transformer ... on the Bugle PS ... a 2.0 mA rating. The transformer in my Ripper only has a 1.0 mA rating.
Why are the different if the Ripper has the same phonostage?
The Ripper has some other circuits comparing with the Bugle (headphone output, buffered line out). My thoughts - the voltage and transformer ratings in Ripper was chosen to minimise the sizes. The Bugle initially constructed for batteries (9V)- very near the Ripper. The Power supply increases voltage to 15V (stability, quality...) but increases the current too. But as soon as the Bugle PS is separate device the size is not so important and the transformer was chosen slightly excessive, giving additional possibilities to use the PS.
Poty thinks the Ripper is underpowered if I understand his post from the other thread.
Yes, according to my calculations, at 10V in the Ripper, the current for U3-U7 itself is around 26 mA, for loading circuits of the U3-U7 - 6 mA (mostly for headphone output), for U1 - 8 mA, LED - around 3 mA, R3+R8, R2+D3 - around 3 mA, so - total 46 mA. For Full Wave Bridge Tap With Dual Output rectification you should multiply this number to 1,8 (according to
http://www.amveco.com/pdf/Amveco_Catalog.pdf#page=23) which gives us 82.8 mA. Then we should add R7 current of 5 mA and grand total of current should be around 87 mA. It is much more tha 53 mA ratings of the transformer. But the device works, so I think there is untapped reserves in the transformator design.

Anyway, it seems the real question for me may have become "what is the proper transformer model and associated components if I am building the Bugle PS strictly for powering a Piccolo?" I'll start a new thread if needed.
You can use just half of the scheme of the Bugle PS as I said earlier.
