Hello,
This is my first post. I purchased a 4B ST, with about 8 years warrant remaining, along with a BP25DA about 6 weeks ago. This is my first Bryston equipment and so far I'm very happy with it. A real step up in quality for me. My question is, how hot should the amp get to the touch when it's generally running at around 10:00 on preamp volume control? I can put my hand on it but if it was much hotter, I wouldn't be able to leave it there for long. Even on standby, it still seems fairly hot. I'm wondering if this is normal. My speakers are no problem to drive, at least 90 db efficiency. Amp has never gone into clipping or warning. I don't listen at loud volumes, I've never had preamp above about 12:00 and that was very loud.
Thanks,
Bill
