I'm interested in knowing the correct name for this connector and if any suppliers sell it.

It is proprietary to Sony and simply called "Multi AV".  Since there are HDMI and Toslink optical outputs for digital video and digital audio, it is only needed for analog video and analog audio output.  You can either get a Component Video or S-Video version.

Monoprice sells them for < $5.00

If you are looking for the connector only, then you can try to search on "Sony PS3 Multi AV".  It may be hard to find, but obviously other manufacturers are sourcing it somewhere.  Since you apparently make cables, you are probably just looking for the connector, but as each new day further obsoletes analog connections, I'm not sure why you may want to pursue a search.

Hi srb,

Thanks for your reply. Are you certain that this connector is proprietary to Sony? Basically what I'm looking for is a source who would sell the connector only, I need a high quality one with silver/gold contacts that can be soldered, teflon dielectric, etc.

I guess it's possible it exists under another name, but I always thought it was proprietary to Sony, and have never heard a reference to another name for the port.

Here is a link to a pinout of the connector.  They reference it as "Sony PlayStation Videogame and some other devices", but I don't know if "some other devices" is referring to other Sony devices or not.

If you could find a source, it's doubtful that there would be a high-quality version of it available, just not enough demand for that sort of thing.  Sorry, that's all I have.
