I am selling my Art Audio Carissa (see below for features & specifications). This is a fantastic 845 based SET amplifier with beautiful polished stainless steel chassis. It is S/N 1184, Standard version, not Signature, but it doesn't seem there's much real difference between the two. I have owned this amp for less than 2 months as I purchased it to demo against my current reference amplifier, a 2 watt Yamamoto A-08S with Emission Labs 45 Solid Plate tubes.
Frankly, there wasn’t a huge difference between the two. The Carissa excelled in some areas while the Yamamoto excelled in others. In the end though, the Yamamoto just added a little extra sparkle which I preferred. Some might call it forward, but I prefer it none the less. To each his own I suppose.
Conservatively rated 8/10 but in all honesty I would rate this unit 9/10. It is in excellent condition with no known/visible flaws and has low hours. I will include some great tubes, all in excellent condition:
