A way to get a 'line out' of the IA7 Integrated?
« on: 20 Nov 2009, 11:42 pm »
Is there a way to configure a 'line out' of the IA7 V1 Integrated amp?
I am using the pre-outs and it works but not nearly as well as a proper line out would for my application (wireless speakers for a rest room!)

Is there a way to get a line out, I'd be happy to give up an input to use for a line out...any ideas anyone?

What do you mean not nearly as well? I guess you would have to use a RCA to 3.5mm cable?

hello Jason,

I should have given more detail;
I want to use a standard line out so I can use my main speakers at the same time as having a line out to my aux wireless speakers control box.
(If I didn't want to use my main speakers at the same time I could turn "booster" off and use the Pre-out)

I am using the Pre-out but I have to turn up the volume too much to get a satisfactory level for the aux speakers.

A standard source line out gives the required level...for instance if I hook up my FM tuner directly to the wirelss speakers it works great!

Thanks,
Josh

I think the preout can be programmed by Nuforce to fix at 0db (12 o'clock volume level) and that should be pretty loud.  I see, you need the max volume from the line out.
