Hi, My mains voltage in the UK is 230volts. Is the resistor 1.8ohm on R223 the one to use with the current hammond transformer specification. Thanks.

TRANSFORMER, POWER, HAMMOND, 275-0-275 V, 50 mA
Universal Primary - 100, 110, 120, 200, 220, 240 VAC 50/60 Hz.
High voltage secondary designed for full wave center tapped use.
50 VAC bias tap from high voltage secondary C.T.
Black epoxy painted to match our P-T1650 series of output transformers .
Class A insulation (105 degrees C).
Hi-Pot test of 2,000 V RMS.
Windings are concentric wound for low stray field and low noise
Secondary: 275-0-275 V, 50 mA
Filament winding 1 : 5 VCT, 2 A
Filament winding 2 : 6.3 VCT, 2 A
Mounting centers: 2" x 1.94" vertical mount
Weight: 3.0 lbs.

Yes. The mains voltage is irrelevant, except insofar as it might be lower or higher than 220Volts. R223 is in series with the 6.3V filament supply and it's value may need adjustment to achieve the exact filament voltage.

You might do better with 1.5 ohms.  I have to check my notes.  I did this test with the newer Hammonds...

Thanks Jim, would be grateful if you can confirm this when you have time.

Found it.  For the "silver" re-issues, I am using 1.5 ohms for CORNET2 and 2.5 ohms for CHIME (5W power resistor in heater circuit).
