I bought a used BP25 from a guy who upgraded to a BP26.  It has the old AC power supply (BP-MSR??) and I'm wondering if the MPS-1 would be a worthwile and affordable upgrade?

I know I can do the full BP26 conversion for $600 + ~$1400 for the MPS-2 power supply but I don't have the coin for this right away.

This preamp will be used in place of the SP1.7 in bypass mode so I'm interested to see if it makes much of a difference.

Hi,

The MPS-1 is a DC supply so it will be an upgrade from the older AC supply.

OK I had a quick chat with Mike and he was very helpful as usual (I love this company ).

The MPS-1 plugs directly into any BP25, even the old ones that came with the AC supply.  The MPS-1 is not necessarily plug & play with any BP20 however.
