SP1.7 trigger to Arcam power amp

SP1.7 trigger to Arcam power amp

Hi I had a quick search and couldn't find the answer.

I'd like to power on my Arcam power amp which has a 3.5mm mono jack with my Sp1.7 to act as a trigger, so my question is does anyone know if I should connect the common from the SP1.7 to the centre pin of the 3.5mm jack or the on/off output from the SP1.7 to the centre pin?

The center pin of the 3.5mm plug is the positive from the SP1 and the shield of the 3.5mm plug is the common.
