Hi guys,I'm putting this out there for the more technically minded amongst us.I'm thinking of building a phono cable with homegrown silver cable.I'm planning to use their 30 gauge solid core silver cable.Any thoughts opinions or suggestions are greatly welcomed and appreciated.Regards Cleaton

The standard appears to be 33ga stranded litz type wire.  I suspect that 30ga solid silver will be too stiff for the tonearm to track properly.  What kind of a tonearm are you going to rewire?

I'm not sure the Op is rewiring his tonearm, rather from table to phono-pre ??

then I see no reason why your 'homebrew' won't work........"keep it short , keep it shielded"
