Seller prefers the Ambrosia over Dan Wright’s $4500 balanced tube preamp heard at T.H.E. Show January 2007; seller carefully auditioned the $17k VTL 7.5 & $15k Krell EVO & places the Ambrosia in similar territory to both (preferred over the VTL).  After twenty months of regular use seller can still identify no audio thumbprint or signature.

All front panel controls repeated on remote milled from solid aluminum: ½ dB volume steps, balance, transparent-in-use bass/treble (four poles each, ganged & separate L/R), 20 dB cut for high-sensitivity systems, channel reverse, mono, two tape monitor/record/copy circuits, etc., etc.

10V RMS maximum output, dual headphone jacks 4.5W (“full output into 30 Ohms”), separate high-quality MM & MC phono inputs w/ dedicated tape outputs separate from line stage, 50 lbs, 14 gauge steel construction except for front panel, “all metal surfaces including front panel are powder coated”, custom proprietary ultra-low emission power transformer in its own can, drive any conceivable load for bi-tri-quad-amping, pre-out: two pairs SE, two pairs XLR.  More features & control functions than any other known audiophile preamp.
