I think it will be a potential excellent listening room ... The length, depth and height of a back wall are 30'W x 15'Dx 15'H

The main needs, as always, are corner bass trapping and absorbing treatment at the reflection points. It looks like the side walls are not easy to treat, but the good news is the room is wide so those reflections are less damaging than in a narrow room. Though ideally you'd have absorber panels on stands at those places.I see a lot of corners that will benefit from bass traps, so it really comes down to how much you're comfortable spending, and how much you're willing to look at. With bass traps, the more the better. Always.--Ethan
Agreed. Corners look tough at floor level though - at least in the 3 I can see. Most likely it would be up high. Another great place that's out of the way is where the rear wall meets the slanted ceiling. You can straddle that entire 'edge' and get a good amount of bass control.Bryan
Tan,Just a suggestion, but you might want to contact both Bryan AND Ethan. Or perhaps you could check out the websites noted at the bottom of their posts. They're friendly and very helpful competitors and each has a great website (actually Bryan links you to the GIK Acoustics website -- he's a dealer for them). Nice looking room you have there.Dave
I might suggest starting with heavy lined drapes on the windows on either side of the speakers. They will work wonders for slap echo.DR
Tan,I have 3 GIK 242 panels that you can borrow for a few days to try out. If you have some time on Saturday or Sunday, I can bring over the panels and my laptop with room eq wizard and we can experiment. Russ
