I haven't seen the Eichmann's yet, but for banana type plugs, my favorites are the Nordost Z-plug.
I have used these when building all of my recent speaker cables. Because of the design, they appear to get more actual surface contact than any other brand that I know of. Because the actual contact need to be compressed to fit into the speaker binding post. when installed the entire exterior of the "plug" makes contact with the inside of the speaker post.
Also, this is the only banana that I know of that works with the "British" type speaker binding post that has a protrusion in the middle. They worked fine with my previous Arcam Alpha 10, even though many people say banana can't work with this type speaker binding post. Because the Z-plug is hollow and open on the leading edge, it fits just fine over that idiotic protrusion in the "brit" binding post.
I pay my local dealer $6 or $8 (not sure which) each for the plugs. I've been VERY happy with them.
Sorry, off original topic, but possible useful for someone wanting to build some cables..
Enjoy,
TIC
