I bought the tc-50 in 1986 on listening to it the first time at my dealer's large main demo room (which I still have as my backup speakers).
That speaker blew me away when I heard USA for Africa's 'We are the World" when I brought my Counterpoint sa 7.1 pre to my dealer back in '86 to listen. It was connected with a c-j mv-50, linn sondek tt w/ittok arm, randall research i/c & spkr cables (no subs).
I could 'see' a stage with risers for the chorus members and the sound extended to like 15' to the sides of each speaker (not kidding!).
