«

Can this upgrade be performed on a Transcendence 7 SLR preamp? If so,
what would it cost?
Thanks!

I think it needs to be in the larger full size case.

Correct, we need to start with the newer 17" wide case for adequate thermal performance. The 6N1P tubes run quite hot, as does the the necessary regulated heater supply (20 watts of heat sink on that supply IC alone).

It's still worth it. Frank had to put my Ultra DAC into the larger case to upgrade to the 6N1Ps, but wow, you should hear the dynamic range now!

OK, then what would the cost be to have this upgrade including putting the preamp in the larger case?
Thanks,

Its more cost effective to simply trade the T7 in on a new unit. Call me for a price quote. 651-330-9871
