Are you going to get the na-bmx temporarily and then do the module from Selectronic later?
Sean,

Probably. I've ordered it and once the Selectronic stuff becomes available I'll likely order it. The kit from Jan Didden arrived yesterday, so I have much work to do. At this point my DCX is in quite a few pieces.

Mike - In reading the Didden kit details it sounds like you have to fabricate the ribbons yourself.  Is that correct or did he provide pre-made ones?  That looked like a real pain to get right.  Tom

Mike,

If you don't have a use for the adaptor after you upgrade, I might buy it from you. I am going to need a 75ohm input too. I am going to do the mod for digital outs so I can run directly into my panny xr45.

George (Zybar), do you have any initial observations regarding how well the DCX2496 works with the Bolder analog modded Squeezebox with and/or without the Burson Buffer?

Thanks,
Ed

Not yet...hang in there.

This weekend...I promise.

Sunshinedawg will be visiting me and make sure that we do lots of different tests while he visits.

Tom, you're correct, the kit contains the connectors and a length of ribbon cable. They look like a PITA and that's about where I am with the kit assembly, I'll likely be fabricating them tomorrow. I've made plenty of them for computers over the years but of course those are just a straight cable, at least I've got practice with the IDC connectors.

Thanks for the link Mike.  Mine arrived today already - FAST!

I just hope it was the right one. When I ordered it was from work and I wasn't 100% sure if a male or female was needed and for some reason I didn't think to pull the manual from Behringer. :( If it's the wrong one I apologize, if it's right that's great. UPS shows my order coming on Monday so I'll know then. Do you have a DCX on hand to verify it's the correct gender? If not hopefully Markertek has a good return policy.

I don't have the dcx yet, but I'm pretty sure I have the right one.  I ordered a bunch of XLR-RCA adapters at the same time, so I went over the manual rather thoroughly.
