Danny

This driver is now selling at Raw website. Will you be selling it at your website? If yes will the price be the same ie $39 each or less? I maybe interested.

Yes, as soon as I have them in stock. The are due to arrive here later next week unless they get held up in customs.

And yes, they will be $39 each.

I compared the specs between 130X and 130, the former(130X) has a larger magnet, and twice the Xmax which I conclude that 130X would be more linear than 130 esp at lower level. the other spec are essentially the same, even Fs, Vas and Qts. From this spec. I can assume at the bass end the sound can be perceived to be punchier.

Are there any other differences you may want us users to know before designing speakers based on 130X?

I am thinking of designing a flooring standing speakers based of one these configurations:

1. TMM (M is M130X) in TL box to make the bass goes lower.
2  MTM (M is M130X) also in TL box.
3. Bipole( ie one 130X in front and the other 130X behind) and a tweeter mounted in front.

The Bipole is a simple choice because the cabinet is easy to make, using M. King Mathcad worksheet.

The above is still in idea phase and your comments may make the design phase more concrete. So any comments?

Any plans for 'new' kits, such as AV-1X or AV-3X?

The response levels are different and less (little to no) baffle step compensation is needed with the X version.

How about an open baffle design? Test boxes are on the way. Here is some info on it:

One is already being made available:

I can't do versions of the A/V-3 or A/V-3S as both of those designs use a 16 ohm version of the M-130. I have yet to have a 16 ohm version made with the XBL^ motor.

OB 2 and OB 3 looks interesting.

Questions please:

1. Can we have a peek at the x-over design? OB x-over I think is harder to design.
2. Any equalization used at mid range?
3. woofer sealed or ported?

Only after I have designed it. The test boxes are still on their way.

Maybe, but still easy for me.

See answer to question number 1.

3. woofer sealed or ported?

It is rear ported.

Thanks Danny for developing an XBL^2 speaker.

I just purchased 5 kits from Raw accoustics using your M-130X for my home theater.  For a while now I have been following your speaker line, and the XBL^2 got me to jump and buy some kits.
My configuration is 3 ob2x speakers and 2 rav1x speakers.

These will go with the gr sub/pr kit I already purchased from you when they came out.

Received the two OB2X test cabinets today.  Nice assortment of foam for packing.  aa
