There is currently a manufacture that CNCs a solid wood front baffle. 5 wood choices are available. From a technical standpoint will the choice of wood affect the acoustic properties of the cabinet,as far as resonance is concered, or the propagation charactaristics of the tweeter? I ask this as different woods have different hardnesses and was wondering if these differences will have any measurable effect on the sound, apart from the visual differences of different woods.

I think the wood is 3 inches thick, well treated and damped.  What did the manufacturer say when you asked them?

I'm waiting for his reply. Just thought I'd get other input and maybe some pertinent links.
