DVD Copying software?

I have the DVD Fab software "trial" version. Any good recommendations for a good quality DVD burner. Some DVD's have anti copy software and at time DVD Fab gives me a hard time.
Any good recommendations and links? Thanks!

But, and this must be stressed, not all makers of dvd burners will have full support in any software program

So going to the forum or homepage of your current choice and see if the drive will work as adverticed with the program.

with a LG burner... well that will work!

Then there is the fact that not all brands of DVD-RW discs will work best either.
This is a science... of it's own!
Program + recorder/reader + dvd-media(RW) disc = good copy!
You need a combination of all 3 to get that perfect copy.
Sho nuff!
Then what it all comes down to is this:
- If you have a disc you wanna backup.
You most likely have to go on a quest to hunt for the method if it proves difficult to do!
A quick hunt on the web turned up the name:
Lite-On LH-20A1P as one of the best all round writers just now!!
BenQ DW1640 is also real good at the "ripping game".

I use this combo and there isn't a disc I can't back-up yet:
Software : dvd shrink (free ware) with slysoft anydvd running in background for ripping
Nero burning rom or recode for burning to disc
Burner : benq 1640
plextor px-716a
dvd shrink is very flexible and easy to use. Benq 1640 has been discontinued and extremely hard to find one new. Used one will pop up on ebay once in a while. You can pick up the px-716a on ebay for ~$80.
Make sure to use good media like verbatim and stay away from memorex.
Happy burning!!!

There are several refurb benq dw-1620 on ebay right now for $30 shipped. I just picked one up. This is also an excellent burner, some even prefer this over the 1640. I'd choose the 1620 over any sony, samsung, hp, or memorex burners.

With BenQ products I dont need copying software correct?
Seems like a good solution for me, so far I like the 1670 and the 1655 lightscribe option... Hmmm nice

you'll need burning software with any brand of burners. If you buy benq new it is bundled with basic nero software which include nero's burning rom. DVD shrink is freeware and there is a 21 days free trial with Anydvd. So if you thinking about getting a new benq then you wouldn't need to purchase any additional software to start burning. Just install nero, google and download dvd shrink, and then go to slysoft.com and download anydvd for the 21 days free trial.
There are numerous methods for ripping and burning dvd's but I think this is the easiest for someone starting out.
