Coffee blends for the strong stuff.

Yeah! You got your bourbon or scotch or whatever you fancy.
So, I like to have a cup of coffee to that! To really make it swoon!

You fill your filter with these blends:

First you put 50/50 with Java and Mocca, You fill the filter ca 60% with this.
Then you top it off with Kenya AA (Eaagads Estate, I like that type)). You fill the 40% left with that.

I made 1 liter of this. Ah!!! It's 10 minutes to 11 here in norway now. Almost noon time.
What a beautiful snowy morning! And the coffee! Smooth!!!
This is my favourite blend! And now I just drink it because its such a beautiful day, but it
goes really well with the good stuff too!!!

The Kenya actually dominates... The java/mocca 50:50 blend only adds a little bit of bitterness and
burnt taste. What this does is that the booze when you drink it in combination with the coffee creates
a very long lingering aftertaste of the liqour.

It amplifies you liqour!!! And, also, if you get a glass of someting else, a good tip is to take a sip of normal water. Its a coffee blend ment to amplify your liqour! Its not a coffee blend that will impress you
with its great coffee taste! Its ultra smooth, almost bland at that...

On me at least it sort of sharpens the tastebuds! Uhm, if you keep pouring down the liqour, you know...
It'll get heavy seas on ya no matter what... after a while...  aa

My perfect combo is this:
The Imperial Coffee blend () and some Bache-Gabrielsen Pure & Rustic X.O. single Estate.
That is a 30 year old Cognac that is at 55% proof. And cost some 70$ a bottle (0.7L)
Its extremely rare, the low price considered! only some 12 bottles remain in norway for sale as we speak.
Then they are gone...

Hm... recap:

There may be more than 12 bottles of the stuff to go around, Bache Single estate stuff.
I just checked the internett site for the Norwegian "booze" outlet here...
But anyway, this cognac is really fantastic! Worth getting your hands on!!!
It has been poured on the bottles without being diluted first, and its not filtered at all!
The casket taste is there, all of it, pure and simple.
The alcohol is not as dominating as you would think, 55 proof taken into consideration.
I'd say its a world class vintage. I've worked in a bar that carried the worlds best cognacs...
And it was very close to some of the very best... I think we had some stuff costing 500$ a glass.
And you dont get a lot of the smooth stuff  in your handheld piece of heaven, I can tell you that!!!

lonewolfny42, you have/Had a 1951/57 vintage Remy? Wow!!! Good for you man! Cheers!!!

Drop them an e-mail.
I'm sure they will guide you to a source for this in the US.
This site is good to know about anyway: http://www.planetliquor.com/home.asp

What are some of your favorite beans for cappucino?  My coffee maker crapped out the other day and I bought a cappucino maker instead.  Just a little $40 jobber.  Having my first cup right now.

Anyways, I bought this b/c I always like cappucino better.  For coffee, I like lots of cream and some sugar.  W/ cappucino, I like little to no sugar and just use skim.

Thanks!

Fazenda Cachoeira da Grama!
I buy it at my local coffee parlor. Not cheap, but very very good!
Very smooth!
