So far I'm the only person to hear the V60 playing music, and it's an amazing sound.
The V60 is a constant directivity planar with 180 degree dispersion horizontally due to its diffraction slot loading. The long, sharply folded wings also eliminate front edge diffraction and any cancellations from the Dipole Effect on the back wave.
But... it is also a reverse horn, controlling the directivity of rear radiation above 280 Hz. I am beginning to understand horn aficienados.
The combination of the two sounds, wide dispersion direct planar and horn-loaded rears, gives the system a stentorian authority not previously heard from any flat panel speaker in my experience. Plus I have added a twist.
More later.
