James,

I'm sure you under-estimate the selling potential you would have if you were able to propose a full HD digital SP2 for next year, let's say before june...
With full capacities, HDMI 1.3 and native HD audio decoding, this would be a mess for your competitors !

I use an external crossover mounted near the SP2, so when I switch to analog bypass I simply manually enable the crossover.

I'm surprised Bryston would tell you digital mode was better than analog bypass - it's one of the drawing cards that sets this processor apart from the pack.  :o

No they didn't say the digital mode was better, they said the digital mode would be better -in my specific configuration -, that's different :)
And i thought about a crossover for a time, but you know... i prefered to buy a Richard GRAY (RGPC 400 pro) instead and what a good move i did :)

I James... and all,

I've tried a US Toshiba HD-DVD player this W.E and was very pleased with the image (even if i was expecting a bit more 3D effect !!!).
As for the sound, on CONSTANTINE, the SP2 was a real killer on analog 5.1 DOLBY TrueHD :o
Much more realistic than with the coax 1,5Mbps out !

Hi James,

I'm upgrading my bass section with a new sub (TRIAD PLATINIUM) and we'll do a new EQ of the system, so, i'll tell you if we found some differences between the SP1.7 and the SP2 in a strict EQ way :)
It should'nt and it is perfectly working now !
I've tried last night the THX UlTRA2 MUSIC setting (on 7.1), witch suprised me a lot... pretty damm good :green:

By the way at the CEDIA show I just displayed at I was told the SP2 has been nominated for product of the year in Stereophile.
