If you are looking for inexpensive solution any shelves with 12" depth will do.  Staples has these http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StaplesProductDisplay?ts=1155904739163&storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10051&productId=48209&cmArea=FEATURED:SC2:CG31

If you want fancier solution, you can look for barrister shelves of varying quality and price.  I like these because they have the right size shelf depth and have glass doors to keep dust and pets out.  Here is an inexpensive one. http://www.stacksandstacks.com/html/112895_four-door-four-shelf-barrister-bookcase.htm.

www.boltz.com    These are the best!! I own three of their 5 shelf LP units (each shelf holds 185 records) and a CD-1200.

I just bought this from IKEA.  It's available in 2 and 4 shelf versions.  Records fit non-adjustable shelves perfectly.  Hard to beat at the price.

I got a couple of these at Kmart for about $100 each.  I like the narrow design (no potential sagging) and they are pretty robust.

Henry,

Those KMart cubes are really nice...and reasonably priced.  I get a good discount there as a vendor, too   :thumb:

Did you find them in the ready-to-assemble furniture area?

Thx, TCG / John

Yes, they were in a flat box.  Although it looks to be stacked cubes, it's a four-shelf fixed bookcase.  I bought them last year, but noticed they still had some a few weeks ago.

You could always pick up some milk crates and some steel shelving, like this:

I only wish I could still get those wooden crates that you see. Ikea used to carry them, but alas, has stopped.

There is a guy on audiogon advertising such crates at $40/crate made of cherry.  I think that is a bit spendy but if you wanted such you can get them.
