Maybe "perfect" stand/pedestal for 626R

Just came across what might offer the perfect speaker stand/pedestal for the 626R. No Beard needed!! :o

It is actually a Speaker Cabinet made by parts express, and comes in what is described as Piano Gloss Black. cherry and Birch.

Cabinet Finish:  Piano Black Gloss
External Dimensions:  22" H x 9" W x 13.5" D

This cabinet comes with a solid front baffle and grill, and that can be removed and the cabinet filled with sand, for a very inert stand.

A little "blue tac" on top and this would give you a very close fit.

If you find that like the speaker a bit taller, just purchase some of the "xtra" baffles to raise them, by placing them under the cabinet.

They run about $100 each, but I don't know what commerically available stand would offer the stability, and fit, for less than $400.

You could put the grills on and have grills from top to bottom, or you could plug the binding post holes (sure you can find a way) and have the shiny Piano Black or wood veneer facing forward.

Take a look.

Or for info look here:

I am a "Parts Express" dealer if anyone has any questions, or you can call them direct.

Or you could lay them face down and set your RM30's on them

John, didn't you do this with some other speakers? Personally I have some old Mission speakers under mine w/amazing results!!! It did great things to the midrange.

That is part of the "origin" of this idea.

I was looking for three things:

1) A bearded Stand or pedestal for the 626Rs

2) An Elevator for the RM30

3) A wooden case to put the SubWoofer amp into for those who wanted the bass amp, but didn't want to "carve up" their subs, RM40s or RM2s.

I found the PE speaker cabinets, which in its various sizes, "can" be used for each of those functions.

I am a Parts Express Dealer if anyone needs such, or has questions.

And Derek, I'm glad you found the RM30 tweak useful.  I guess now we need to get Frank to get some of these for his 30's
