for the last month or so my lights in the house would dim once in a while-so i called the power company to check the lines and meter today(early am)-they did and said all was ok- about 1 hour later i turn on the microwave and all hell brakes loose all the lights in the house start flashing,micros sounds like its going to nuke and im scared as hell,so i run down stairs and turn off the mains and call my electrician-then climb into the attic to make sure there is no fire up there and start sniffing thru the whole house-
vinny showed up a few hours ago and started to figure out what was happening-then my buddy dave showed up with his friend from the electrical union-took the 2 of them about 5 minutes to figure out it has to be in the meter-they cut the wire lock and pop the meter-
the bottom connector was broken loose(from a ice fall 3 years ago that took the meter out)-they stuck some shims under it and put everything back together-
wtf didnt the power guy notice it-
man o man i was freeking out when it happened-now i just have to get a appointment to get the power shut off and restart so he can replace the piece -
