Al,

Hell, if you're going to use an ADA300 (I'm assuming with an LT circuit) then you could even use the EX-15 in that size enclosure.  My Tumult was only in a 52L (2ft^3) with an LT circuit.  It was flat to 10Hz in room!  :o

An EX-15 with that kind of airspace and a nice amp with LT would be a killer app!

And you would need more power but it should work great.   The Adire amps are great for these types of applications because they are underrated on power and have LT & PEQ circuits.

Well sure, an ADA600 would be what I'd go with for the EX-15.  I just figured that was a given and didn't mention it!:)

What do people think of these BASH class D amps on PE:

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=300-750

$150 for a 300w, $240 for 500w.

$150 for amp + $165 for a CX-12 seems like it would make a pretty good little sub.

I've not measured one but Dan has.   On the ones he tested they didn't deliver their rated power.

We will sell the Adire ADA amplifiers which we know deliver better than their rated power.   I'm also ordering several less expensive amps (those Bash one's included) to test to find one that performs to spec.   Once we do we will either sell them or we will give recommendations where people can go out and buy them.

Wow, my initial reaction is that these are very price/performance competitive for home applications.

I don't suppose there are any plans to do a similar thing to the new tumult? ;-)

We are going to stock the Tumults but there are no plans for a replacement.   They have pretty good parameters for home audio use already.   The price delta is pretty steep but that is the case for most bleeding edge components.
