I have an older 4B for my SubWoofer and I get Turn Off Noise from the amp when it is in Mono operation (unbalanced). It powers down for a second then a loud static type sound starts up for another second.

The amp turns on without a sound and there is no noise when used in Stereo.

Any thoughts??

Thanks ....Peter

Hi Peter,

It is just a capacitor turn off discharge - the newer amps have a relay to prevent it. It will not cause any harm as it is very low level.

Thanks James,

You are correct - it is a low level issue. It just had me bothered.
This is the first amplifier that has done my 24'' Harley Woofer justice - great product.
Now I know what a "sound floor" is.
