   Damn!  You guys are good!

Yeah....as you know I was refering to the Minimax Pre Amp.  Ultimately,  when I finish,  I will have two pairs of Mono Extremes,  for two of my three systems.  I'm considering the Minimax Pre Amp for my second system.  The Tempest Extreme is with my first (main ) system.

Thanks for the responses guys.  You are good! 8)

The tubes were the give away....

I've played rolling tubes with this pre...and a Philly 7A.... 8)

From all of your posts and all of the gear I've seen others borrow from you, I just figured that identification was simple due to the fact that you now have one of everything! :)

Not quiet "one of everything"...still missing a few things. But as I "loan out"...I gain more space to be filled....

djbnh,

Hi Dave - Here's a shout back at you.  Thanks again for sharing your audio experiences and for the nice deal on the tubes.

My new cartridge arrived today.  Thank you Klaus.  Frickin goosebumps.  I'll be up all night listening - heck may even take tomorrow off.   :rotflmao:

Whoever started this thread (Pugs) beware!  As I said in a prior post, the extreme upgrade is a huge bang for the buck, but you will shell out $$$ upgrading the rest of your equipment!

This is 100% true!!! After the extreme upgrade, I know that  if I want to bring my whole  system to another level, I have to upgrade my source and speakers. But the problem is that I have no more $$$ left for this hobby  :(

I have Salk Veracity HT3 on the way, and my source is a Cary 303/200.  The Cary should work out, but if not, I'm ready to go the PC route.
