Why upgrade the Clocking Circuitry in your Digtal Source or DAC???
In more than 90 - 95% of CD players (SACD, DVD & DVD-A ) the master clock whose function is to generate a low jitter square wave. It is the "heart" of your CD/DVD/SACD player and a key vital role in reproducing accurate sounding music, like a live presentation. The stock jitter clock is a simple passive circuit which uses the input of an inverter, typically 74HCU04 and consists of a quartz crystal, 2x low value capacitors in series fixed to ground, and 1-2 resistors. The remaining 5 - 10% of players (usually higher priced units) are slightly better and use a clock oscillator module which uses its own inverter and has a better temperature stability, or use a single discrete transistor oscillator circuit. This is true of machines costing $500- to $20,000- regardless of manufacturer or model.
Even the very best players in the world cannot match the accuracy and low jitter performance of the SC3. None of these methods are suitable and all produce high losses of resolution (high jitter and error rates)for both audio and video recording and playback which closes down soundstaging, focus, detail, micro/macro dynamics and liveliness.

Does your CD/SACD/DVD player need more focus, detail and soundstage width? Do you wish to get more inner resolution and liveness in midrange and high frequency resolution? There is absolutely no reason to sell your Digital player or upgrade to the next model and the amount of performance difference will be slightly marginal. The typical clock circuit pulses 8-45 million times per second, this clock supply is much needed to maximum the performance over using the stock power supply in your player which is too slow and dirty and will round off the edges of the square wave of the clock signal. The SC3 has been completely redesigned using only state of the art components meticulously hand picked for there sound. RAM has directly compared the SC3 to the SC2 and the results are truly phenomenal! Improvements we hear: First and foremost is the incredible sense of presence. It is as if music is now "in the room" or NOT locked onto the speaker. There is now a complete lack of strain and compression which is now so very noticeable without the SC3. Macrodynamics are greatly improved over the SC2. The SC3 provides dynamics much closer to live music such as in the "pop" of a snare drum or the "pluck" of a bass guitar. Resolution. We simply hear more musical information. Inner detail and imaging are now very prominent. The musical presentation now sits on a much larger lifelike stage. Bass slam comes through with a sense of realism. We descibe the bass as sounding very "open" of lack of strain. Vocals are much cleaner and natural sounding, again providing that "in the room" sound. Uncanny! The High frequency information comes through with delicacy and tonal color. Bells in certain tracks were simply smeared with the SC2. Using the SC3 we hear absolute clarity,extension, and openess. .
