In the 2000's I purchased 8 Orb Audio speakers and an Orb Subwoofer as part of a multimedia surround system. When I retired 10 years ago and moved, I never hooked up the rear speakers. I guess the novelty had worn off. Still using the other 6 with the sub for my multimedia setup.
After using some real crap computer speakers, I decided to resurrect the remaining 2 Orbs. Picked up a KLH ASW 10-20 sub off Facebook in great shape for $50, lugged it home and hooked everything up to my pc via a FOSI V3 amp and GR40 preamp/DAC. I'm absolutely loving the sound. I've been ripping CD's for years, and can now hear how wonderful they sound. Under $300 for the FOSI and KLH gear.
