A shout out to Bryston audio!
I’ve spent a couple of days working with Bryston software engineers to resolve some connectivity issues between my wireless network and their digital player (my BDP-1) after installing a firmware upgrade that wasn’t quite compatible with my BDP-1.
Then today, I monkeyed around with my network sharing and adapter settings and lost my computer’s connection to the network entirely, so I ended up resetting the ip parameters and clearing and flushing the DNS cache and uninstalling / reinstalling my wireless network adapter drivers.
Meanwhile, the Bryston software engineers wrote and uploaded the latest patch to the firmware code that would be compatible with my BDP-1, incorporated a website link for the revised download, and sent me an email where to get it. I tried the download and firmware upgrade again today and now everything works perfectly.
I have spent a lot of money (close to $40,000.00) on Bryston gear since 2007, and the electronic components are under warranty for 20 years, so it’s nice to see a company with this kind of customer support backing up the investment.
I cannot say enough about Bryston - a Canadian company, no less - and their products and after-sale service.
