Hi All, does the rec button function like a tape monitor switch, or is it just another input?  The manual is not clear on this. 

If you select rec, and then select another input, does rec remain lit?

The Rec button does indeed act as a tape monitor. You can select another input and record/monitor. You could also just use it as another unbalanced input.
