I need help setting up digital audio on RX-F10
« on: 22 Feb 2005, 07:23 am »
I read many good reviews about the JVC RX-F10 price/performance.

So I bought one today specifically for the multi component and digital audio inputs. Unfortunately, I am having trouble getting audio from any digital source.

My sattelite receiver has optical audio out which I plugged into the F10's "DBS" optical in. My DVD player has PCM out that I plugged into the F10's "coaxial D1" in. Now when I switch to these sources, I get video but no audio. I went through th menu options and ensured that the correct digital input was assigned to the appropriate devices.

However, when I plug in any analog I get audio without any problems.

Am I missing something?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Um, there's an input button on the remote that you might try pressing, it cycles through analog, digital and digital auto. Your receiver might be set to analog. I can't remember exactly what the button is labeled, but I can check when I get home.
