I do.  I had Klaus build my all in Kismet in Stratos monos because the Maggie 1.7's were eating other amps for breakfast.  Now the amps are in control.  I now stream through a tube DAC to an all in Don Sachs pre to my monos.  All connected with AntiCable PC's, interconnects, and speaker cables.  Finest system I've had and I've had many.
One thing on those Maggie's.......get rid of those cheap steel jumpers and put in a pair of good quality ones (I use Anticables there too).
You will be very surprised at the change.

Right there with you!!!!

I bought my LRS's almost a year ago and went through 3 amps! All of them are going into protection mode and so on and all sounded very thin once the volume levels went up.
Magnepan's are no joke. Anyone thinking about buying a pair of Maggie's, my advice is buy the best and most power you can afford! PERIOD! They get better with more power. Unless you're listening at very moderate volume levels. I looked into some Stratos Mono's but ultimately went with a pair of Golden Cherry mono's from The Digital Amplifier Company. Final Q&C was last night, which the owner of the company has 1.7's that he voices his amps to, and they should be shipping out today! I am SUPER excited! But yeah, The Stratos mono's were on my short list and I am sure they sound spectacular with 1.7's.
By the way, I am upgrading to the 1.7's myself, in that 1 year window for the trade up option.

Quick question. I was looking at the Anticables website to replace the steel jumpers. Can you post a link to the specific one you use? I am not sure what to buy.

Thanks!

I run my Magnepan  1.7i with the Mono Extreme (2003).  They work well together and sound good.  The Magnepan never shuts down the Mono Extreme.  Even though I have other amps---Carver, Acurus, Emotiva---my 1.7i is only connected to the Mono Extreme, so I never had the experience of the Magnepan causing amps to go into protective mode.

I run my Magnepan 1.7s with a Stratos Extreme.  My previous experiment with Class D was a failure but I was chasing watts and did not understand the importance of capacitance, current and stable power supply.  180,000 AuF on my extreme and it doesn't even know the Maggies are supposed to be hard to drive. When I move up to the 3.7i I will order a set of Kismet Mono blocks. The wonderful sound I have now with my 1.7s has convinced me that it is a fools errand to try anything else. Today I have been listening for 10 hours and I am not fatigued, the Stratos is barely warm.

Excellent synergy with Odyssey amps driving Maggie’s.  I’ve been using a pair of Stratos Mono Extremes with red boards on my 1.6’s for a while.  They sound great and control the 1.6’s well.  However my 1.6’s have been my rear surround speakers for over a decade, so the amps are hardly on.  I am thinking about unloading them to downsize.  Great amps to upgrade, and Klaus is awesome!

Name the three amps. I want to know which amps are worse than my 50 year old Sansui with the LRS.
