I had the original Carbon 7 and this version has a more detailed midrange and high-end extension. Every type of music sounds wonderful on these speakers regardless of what type of amp is used; low watt to high watt, $40 -$4000, it all sounds wonderful. This speaker has detail, imaging, speed, extension, and is liquid smooth. One of the Best stand mount for electronic music I have used.
