BDP-2 - Can not update firmware

BDP-2 - Can not update firmware

Just hook up a Bryston BDP-2 to a benchmark DAC1.
the System shown:
S2.05 2014-07-11
Build: Manic Moose
MPD: 0.17.5
I try to update the firmware but nothing happen. Should I try flash CF card?

That version of the firmware the update firmware feature is broken due to change in service provider years ago.  Reflashing it using the documention that can be found at http://support.bryston.com will resolve the issue.  Or if you call us Monday to Thursday we can remote into a computer to access the BDP and fix the issue manually and perfo the update.

Just to be sure, to re-flash the card.
Follow the BDP Manual Manic Moose Install.pdf, right?
And should I use the CF card installed or should I use a brand new one?

Flashed to S2.32 then update to S2.42.
One more question, do I need to upgrade BDP-2's sound card to IAD if I want to play DSD?
