Is there a resource which explains what each of the configuration options for the SP3 does?  The manual just scratches the surface.  I would really like to know what things do.  Why allow the user to change the setting if you don’t tell him what it does?

What is the best way to gain an understanding of what each of the settings does?  Is there someone I can send a list to for an explanation?

I don't want to just change something haphazardly.
