Fet Valve 400R question

Fet Valve 400R question

So I have this amp that I got used. I'm not sure if I have the instruction or not so I figured I'd ask here.

There is a switch on the back that says "chassis ground" and On and Off. What does this do. Mine was off when I got it and it is still off, Do I need to turn it on?

NO.

That's a ground loop switch.  Turn on to eliminate ground loop (hum) if it occurs.

Leave the ground lift switch turned ON unless you have ground loop hum issues.
