Hi,
I haven't heard it, but from all reports this is the hands down winner in that price range:

The Emotiva does sound good for the $. It's also quite flexible with the ability to do both mc & mm. It's similar to the iphono but a lot cheaper.

Expand your budget by 100 bux and get the Vista.  It's worth it.

Adjustable unit that offers nice flexibility and great sound that competes sonically with units up to $1000, IMO.  And Boris is a great guy to deal with.  Google and find all the positive comments.

Or keep looking for a used one to appear.  It will be $200 or less.

Good luck with your search.

I have an Emotiva, on my second system.  It is pretty darn good.  And I think they will let you send it back, if you don't like it.  If not using MC, you might look at the new Orbit
pre.

Aren't you kinda cutting yourself short by limiting your budget by $200?

If I had that turntable, I would spend more on the phono pre-amp.
