I have a question. I just noticed that your description says a non-servo version but the picture says Direct Servo on the amp. So is it a direct servo or not?
Also, does it have the open baffle circuit or is it for use with a ported or sealed box?
Thanks,
Mike
As I understand it after communicating with Brian Ding (owner of Rythmik Audio), Rythmik takes a basic amp module that they had developed for them and then they add various boards for different manufacturers. So there is a direct servo version like Danny sells here and for Hawthorne Audio, he did an open baffle version for use with the Augie OB drivers that he sells. This latter version is what I have. ALL OF THESE VERSION LOOK THE SAME FROM THE OUTSIDE AND THERE IS NO DIFFERING PART NUMBERS TO IDENTIFY WHICH IS WHICH. I shouted because I think this is very poor engineering discipline (think GM ignition switch issue) but whatever.....
Brian told me he can convert this "open baffle" version to a "servo version" for about $30. Likewise it can be converted for use as a sealed or ported version (no Linkwitz transform circuit as in the open baffle version and no servo version) by removal of a capacitor. I would recommend that Brian and Rythmik do this, but I suppose if you are good with electronics, Brian could walk you through it without a trip back to the factory in Austin Tx.
Danny and/or Darrel Hawthorne may be better able to describe this than me or better yet, Brian Ding. But any of the three versions will all look the same from the outside - you have to know what modules Brian put in it to know what it does.
Hope this answers the question. Don't want anyone confused! It would have been so much easier to change the part number or put a sticker somewhere or...OK done

EDIT: here is link to Hawthorne Audio site to show the Rythmik in Darrel's wood box. Blow it up and it looks like it is a "direct servo" version, but it is not!
