I have some pieces laying around which I do not see myself using ever again. Maybe you have a use for some of them. They will ship at your expense from 81521.
- Audio Mirror Single Ended Triode Tube MonoBlocks - Excellent condition. Only a dozen hours use since full factory overhaul. Upgraded capacitors. Many extra output tubes. The amps use two 6AS7 output tubes per amplifier. These are said to last approximately 2000 hours. I have about 20-25 extra output tubes, meaning you will never need replacements again. Before I bought these about 6 years ago, I remember reading that they represented a tremendous value at their retail price of $3200/pair. I have the original shipping cartons so I can get them to you safely. Output is 20 watts per side. They can drive any speaker from about 87 db on up. Best with horns. $1850 for the pair. Would consider trade for NAD M51 DAC or Grace Designs M 903.
- Tim Rawson built class A power amp. Aleph J mini. Estimated output of 20 watts per channel. This stereo amplifier is extremely sweet sounding and best suited to high efficiency speakers. Especially ideal for single driver designs. No original packaging but I think I still have the box it came to me in. Very handsome and well finished amplifier given its DIY origins. This one will shock you. $375.
- ClassD Audio 60 watt stereo amplifier. This is the one that started that enormous thread on AC about Class D kits. Read all 181 pages here:
http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=76400.0I have two of these. The first is built in a primitive but functional wooden case. I bought it from Nick 77 here on AC. It was his build and it is pictured on pages 4,5,7 and 8, on the above link. You can actually watch the progress of the build if interested. This is a useful amplifier with performance well above the $250 price.
- Next up is an unbuilt kit of the same amplifier as above. 60 watt stereo class D. All parts and instructions included just as they arrived here. Nothing has been done with this kit. $150. You can buy both for $375 and use them to biamp, to power multiple channels or to wire as monos for 120 watt mono blocks.
- Perreaux PMF 1850 power amplifier. MOSFET design with 185 watt per channel output. Cosmetics are very good on this but there is a problem which would be easily fixed by the confident solderer. The plastic retaining collar around one of the RCA input jacks broke allowing the jack to be pushed inside the chassis. This is a pain if you need to change interconnects. Otherwise, it can be used as is. The amplifier functions now but I would think it wise to repair or replace the jack as you see fit. This one I'm giving away for $300.
While I'm at it, there are some preamps for sale cheap. NAD 114. Looks good, works fine. $120. Kenwood L-O7C preamp. Good cosmetics, noisy pot. From memory, I think it was the volume. $ 150. Also have a sleeper piece- a passive pre I bought long ago. Sound is excellent but has dual volume pots. It's called PSS by David Hum. I know, bad name for a preamp. Anyway, it is compact, very solid, and has 4 inputs and one output. Will take $150.
Then there is a Stan Klyne moving coil step-up. Original box and paperwork. Fully adjustable. You can have it for $350. Also have an NHT PVC passive volume control never used. It has one balanced input and one balanced output. $75.
Just PM me if you want anything listed here or think you might. I'll do my best to answer questions but I've had some of this a long time and may not be able to recall some details.
