FS: Ayon Triton II Integrated
« on: 7 Jan 2014, 07:05 pm »
The Triton II utilizes 8- Shuguang Black Treasure KT-88 power tubes, 6-12au7 NOS preamp tubes. Auto Bias circuitry. Monster, top quality, fully potted huge transformers. Run it as an integrated, preamp, or dedicated amp...
This amp is transparent, powerful, musical, and very dynamic. 125 watts in Pentode, or 80 watts in Triode, no negative feedback, pure Class A, from this dead quiet 95 pound amp. There are a couple great reviews for the Triton on Enjoy The Music and Positive Feedback. The Triton II is definitely an upgrade, as I owned both. Ask for details if interested.

I am the original owner, purchased from authorized dealer 2 and a half years ago. It has performed flawlessly, is in beautiful condition and truly is dead quiet --with whatever I hooked it up with. I estimate, from my regularly scheduled listening days that the tubes have around 2000 hours use. I will give it an 8 on the Agon scale due to some faint surface dust scratches on the chrome transformer covers. Im sure some polish would remove these faint lines. Although it is probably ok at a 9 rating too! 100% feedback on Agon as Jriggy

Hi, I'm interested.  How can one verify if this is version 2 or version 1?  Thanks.

Hi thuhaile,

Great question! I had this very question once myself... Their are two ways (that I am aware of) to tell the difference between the Triton and the Triton II...

First, on the Triton(I), the word "Triton" is located on the lower RIGHT of the front panel, under the input selector knob. On the Triton II, the word "Triton" is located on the lower LEFT of the front panel under the volume knob.

Secondly --and most important. The Triton II is auto bias. With a "Bias setup" button and V1 thru V8 indicators on the back (see pic). The back of the Triton(I) has 8 separate biasing pots.

Besides that, my users manual says Triton II and Im sure the serial number could be verified as a Triton II.

I hope that helps. If you are interested in the amp, feel free to shoot me a PM.

Thanks

 Jason
