Adding a selector switch to my TLP.
« on: 2 Aug 2004, 01:15 am »
Hi All
I'm getting ready to add a selector switch to my TLP.
It's a 6 pole (12 solder tabs) with pins for stops. I intend to have 3 positions.
There is not much in the way of instructions for wiring.
Does the "hot" from each pair of RCA's attach oppisite each other on the switch? If they do, do I terminate all the "neutral" wires
to a central pin or post?
Please, any info would be helpful. I'm sure this is really pretty easy, but to a novice like me got me scratching the cranium.
Thanks
Martin

Martin,
The Right and Left go to the selector switch.    Make sure you get the "Rights" all together, thus making the "Lefts" on the opposite pole.
Grounds all go to ground.
You'll find it to be quite simple.

Hey Martin,

Have you upgraded your TLP to Nirvana status yet?
I totally recommend it.
There is an appreciable difference.

Right now, I've got all the parts to bring it beyond Nirvana, but I don't know if I should install them now.

The TLP Nirvana has been in storage for a year, and my new AKSA 100 Nirvanas need their 20 hour break in (Hour 1 slated to begin sometime tonight  :drums: ). Besides, BlackGate capacitors are supposed to take forever to come up to speed, especially with regards to bass (from what I heard).

Cheers,
