First off, let me say I know very little about that very intense combat sport, professional wrestling. Apparently this is where the top collegiate wrestlers go to get signed , if they are top level. The lesser wrestlers go to MMA for less money.
I watched a couple of matches and I have to say, those guys are absolutely acrobatic in their wrestling- that's how good they are!
They also are very flamboyant dressers, I guess this comes from the amazing cultural diversity the league embraces.
But, this is the part that is serious and needs addressed: After the match two of the gifted wrestlers were invited to an interview with the TV host and another athletic journalist.
What I saw there was something shameful really and I'm very disturbed- my mind is blown a hundred billion ways- the two wrestlers began exchanging very inappropriate threats and and socially abhorrent language. They even began to bully the host and the journalist. They didn't stop with just hurtful words, they began to actually shove and physically abuse them.
This type of bullying should not be tolerated, just as we have learned recently in People magazine and in the NFL.
Mean people suck and something must be done about this shameful behavior.
I intend to write some very firm letters to the people that run this professional league. What about you?
