Question about BIT Conditioners
« on: 18 Jun 2013, 03:25 pm »
This may be a rather dumb question (nothing new from me) but would it a make any sense (or nonsense) to plug my 4BSST2 with a Cardas Clear power cable into a BIT 15?  The Cardas cable has built-in toroidal filters.

My other option is to get a BIT 5 for my front end components and plug the amp into the wall outlet.

I live in Arizona so lightning hasn't been much of a problem since we moved here.  In other words surge protection isn't too important to me.

Here is some good advice.  Go for the bit 20 in 240. Have an electrician come in and put a 240 outlet in.  I used the 4Bsq into a rm 20 and it lit right up. The amp comes alive.  Plug everthing into it.

I just bought a Cardas Clear power cable with that toroidal setup in it.  The question I have is would it make a difference one way or another if I plugged the cable into a BIT?

Did you replace the cable on your rm 20 with something different?

Never mind, Brian at Cardas answered my question.  The cable supplements the BIT.

Hi  I am confused. Does Cardas specifically design a power cable for the BIT?

No, Cardas power cables have broad band filtering which uses a built-in toroidal filter.  I was wondering if this made any difference it I plugged the cable into a BIT which also does filtering.

Cardas told me it only adds to what the BIT does.
