I am looking forward to getting a new pair of MLS BCSE RM40's in the near future.
In listening to my rig a bit today, I began fanatsizing about a system that while within reach, would certainly be a big, big step.
Here is what I was thinking.
1) MLS BCSE RM40s
These will be driven on top with the Son of Ampzilla 130 wpc on top(arriving soon) and 300wpc CineNova for the woofers
2) Two Pair of stacked LARGER Subs
These will be powered by 4 600wpc (@ 4 ohms) CineNova channels
This will mean I'll have 2 Three Channel Cinenovas and 1 Two Channel SOA power amps.
Lunacy?
Well I was considering 3 pair of LARGERs stacked on top of each other

, but will try 2 pair first.
Most recent research shows that woofers at "ear level" produce the best sound. Beleive it or not, I'm not looking for SPL's, but clean, detailed, 3-D bass. I already have the best I have ever heard. I think this would move it off the map.
RM40s will be run "full range", and subs will be rolled in as needed. Likely in the 40-50 Hz range.
LARGERS will be physically attached by strapping them in the rear, and each bank will have over 100# of weight sitting on top to add mass and power.
Don't know how soon I'll be able to place this plan in action, but stage one "Dual Largers" will be here in less than 30 days.
Hopefully BCSE Rm40's will be here too.
I'm just wondering what 6 LARGERS "stacked" 3 on each side will look, sound and "FEEL" like???
